Mr. Garcia
Julio Garcia was born in Corpus Christi, Texas. In 2001 he moved to Austin for college where he received a degree in Visual Communication of Graphic Design. Julio worked as a Graphic Designer and Freelancer for over 8 years. With his knowledge of Graphic Design and his passion for learning, Julio started volunteering at schools during their Summer School programs. From there, Julio was hired as a Teacher Assistant where he managed the Math morning drills at Blackshear Elementary. Later, Julio became a substitute teacher for 3rd grade and was hired as a Parent Support Specialist at Blackshear Elementary. It was his focus to build the PTA and make the families feel welcomed. Julio continued his education and graduated from the University of Huston-Tillotson in 2019 with a Bachelor's degree in Education. Julio is currently a 2nd Grade Teacher at Graham Elementary. Julio enjoys learning about Science, Technology and gadgets.
Julio García nació en Corpus Christi, Texas. En 2001 se mudó a Austin para la universidad, donde recibió un título en Comunicación Visual de Diseño Gráfico. Julio trabajó como diseñador gráfico y freelance por más de 8 años. Con su conocimiento del diseño gráfico y su pasión por el aprendizaje, Julio comenzó a ser voluntario en las escuelas durante sus programas de la escuela de verano. A partir de ahí, Julio fue contratado como asistente de maestro, donde dirigió los simulacros matutinos de matemáticas en Blackshear Elementary. Más tarde, Julio se convirtió en maestro sustituto del 3er grado y fue contratado como Especialista de Apoyo para Padres en la Escuela Primaria Blackshear. Su objetivo era construir la PTA y hacer que las familias se sintieran bienvenidas. Julio continuó su educación y se graduó de la Universidad de Huston-Tillotson en 2019 con una licenciatura en Educación. Julio es actualmente un maestro de segundo grado en la Primaria Graham. Julio disfruta aprender sobre ciencia, tecnología y aparatos.

Mrs. Dao
Mrs. Dao was born and raised in Houston, TX and moved to Austin, TX in 2015. She graduated from Sam Houston State University in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations with a minor in Communications. She started her teaching career in 2007 and has taught 1st, 2nd and 3rd grade. In her free time she enjoys reading, watching movies and hanging with her family.
La Sra. Dao nació y creció en Houston, TX y se mudo a Austin, TX en 2015. Ms. Vidal
Ms. Vidal is a native Austinite who attended A.I.S.D. schools including the Liberal Arts & Science Academy at Kealing and LBJ. She graduated from the University of Texas with a Bachelors in Government and a minor in Radio, Television and Film. Ms. Vidal began teaching in 2010 and has taught Pre-K, Kinder, 1st, and 2nd grades. She has a passion for fostering a love of reading and cultivating deep care for nature. In her free time she enjoys keeping active with her olympic weightlifting team.
La Sra. Vidal es una nativa de Austin quién asistió a las escuelas aquí en A.I.S.D. Asitió al la Academia de Artes Liberales y Ciencia en Kealing y LBJ. Se graduó de la Universidad de Texas con una licenciatura en gobierno y una especialización en radio, televisión y cine. La Sra. Ms. Canela
Ms. Canela is a Mexican immigrant who came to the US at the age of 11.
Ms. Canela attended Webb Middle School and graduated from Reagan High School. She received her bachelor's degree in education from the University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Canela completed a masters degree at Concordia University and is currently working on a PhD at Texas State. Ms. Canela began teaching in 2009 and has taught pre-kindergarten, 2nd grade, and 4th grade. She coordinates the Prime Time program at Graham, which provides enrichment activities for students after school and in the summer. In her free time, Ms. Canela enjoys watching crime shows, doing crafts, and spending time with friends and family.
Ms. Canela es inmigrante Mexicana que vino a Estados Unidos a la edad de 11 años. Ms. Canela asistio a la escuela primaria Webb Middle School y se graduo de la secundaria Reagan High School. Ella recibió su título de educación de la Universidad de Texas en Austin. Ms. Canela terminó una maestría en Concordia University y actualmente está completando un doctorado en Texas State.
